Domain Transfers

Please enter the name you would like to transfer in the following field:

Your current registrar will send you a confirmation email to confirm your intention to have your domain transferred to us.

The confirmation email will be sent to the email address you listed under the Administrative Contact information. Please make sure this email address is correct or updated before you initiate a transfer. You MUST respond to the confirmation email within 48 hours or your domain transfer will be rejected.

Once you approve the transfer and it has been completed, you are ready to begin using our services. Your domain name information (including DNS) remains unchanged until the transfer is complete so you will not experience any downtime.

Important: Please do not send us your transfer order if your domain does not meet the following criteria:

- Your domain is required to be with the current registrar for at least 60 days. If you have just registered or transferred your domain within the last 60 days, your transfer request will not be accepted.

- Your domain cannot have an expired status. You are no longer the legitimate owner of your domain once it is expired. If your domain is expired, you must renew it with your registrar before sending us your transfer order.

- Your domain's Administrative Contact information must be valid or updated. You must be the person listed as the administrative contact of your domain and the email address listed under administrative contact must be valid or accessible by you.

IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A DOMAIN TRANSFERRED AWAY FROM INTERNIC PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS PROVIDED BELOW:

.uk Extensions

All .uk extensions must use the following instructions.

To initiate a tag change please, email us at billing@internic.co.uk with the following information:

1) The domain name(s) you wish to transfer.
2) The name and TAG of the registration agent you wish to move your domain name(s) to.

Non-.uk Extensions

When trying to transfer a domain with a .com .net .org, etc extension away from InternicUK, you must have your current registrar send out a transfer request to the email address that is listed on the Administrative Contact for your domain.

You must first make sure the domain is unlocked with InternicUK.

Once the transfer request has been received, we will process it in a timley manner releasing the domain from our authority,

ONCE A DOMAIN IS RELEASED FROM OUR AUTHORITY, WE NO LONGER HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE DOMAIN. REQUESTS FOR DOMAIN CHANGES ON DOMAINS THAT ARE NOT UNDER OUR CONTROL WILL BE IGNORED.
